Kaj Frank Porcelain 'Origami Dish' by Arabia

Designed by Kaj Frank for Arabia, Finland circa 1957.  The design is inspired by the intricate folds of Japanese origami.  Its square shape is divided into four equal pyramid-shaped indents, which also serve as legs and lift the dish from the table surface.  This simple detailing gives the appearance of lightness and airyness to the design.
